Alena  Skvortsova - your guide into the world of Buddhist Meditation:
"As a doctor, I have always loved studying the workings of the brain and nervous system and provided some treatment programs for people after stroke in the hospital.
Later, my passion shifted to meditation and studying the brain and mind from the perspective of yoga and Buddhist meditation, and personal practice for more than 17 years".

Her xperience

She used to work as a physician in a rehabilitation center. This experience gave her a solid foundation to turn her passion for yoga and meditation into a career.

Spent over 300 hours of practice at traditional Buddhist meditation centers and teaching lines: Sayadaw line Anapanasti and Satipadhana (Sayadaw U Tejaniya), Vipassana by Goenka, Thai Forest Sangha (Ajahn Chan Subhaddo). And has spent over 1000 hours in personalized formal meditation practice in self-guided retreats.

She studied authentic meditation with great spiritual masters such as Deshekachar (School of Krishnamacharya, Chennai), Sheshadri (Mysore school of Krishnamacharya), Madhavan (Shivanada school, Tamil Nadu)  in India and modern spiritual teachers M. Baranov and I. Zhuravlev.

 Alyona is a founder and methodologist of the Shanti training school of yoga-therapy in Ukraine since 2016 and a top world expert-educator in Yoga Teacher Trainings in the best world schools in Bali and Thailand (East West, Sama yoga, The Istana Aylan school) since 2019, a facilitator of the professional meditation and yoga retreats around Indonesia, Europe and Asia, for over 15 years.

" My journey into yoga and meditation began over 10 years ago. My experiences and practice have led me to a spiritual approach grounded in traditional Indian yoga, combined with scientific principles from yoga therapy. For the past 5 years, I have been following the Theravada lineage of Buddhism and sharing this knowledge at Brahma Vihara Silent Retreats.

She is a certified yoga and yoga therapy teacher. Originally from Ukraine, she spent 10 years in Asia, studying local culture and traditions, practicing self-development and self-discovery through various spiritual practices and meditations.
Recently Maria has been living in Bali, teaching at renowned yoga schools, hosting retreats, and facilitating spiritual events.

We introduce and teach an authentic and rare method of Vipassana based on the following techniques:

Anapanasati - mindfulness of breathing.
Satipatthana - mindfulness of awareness.
