 Meditation and Yoga Teacher

Welcome everyone! I am Alena - your guide into the world of Meditation.

I am a trained medical doctor specializing in physiotherapy, previously working as a physician in a rehabilitation center. This experience gave me a solid foundation to turn my passion for yoga and meditation into a career, combining western science of anatomy & physiology with eastern science of meditation and yoga.

I have spent over 300 hours of practice at traditional Buddhist meditation centers and authenic Buddhist lineages: Sayadaw lineage of Anapanasti and Satipadhana (Sayadaw U Tejaniya), Vipassana by Goenka, Thai Forest Sangha (Ajahn Chan Subhaddo). And I have spent over 1000 hours in personalized formal meditation practice in self-guided retreats.

I am happy to share my experience with you as your guide.

My experience

I studied authentic meditation with great masters such as Deshekachar (School of Krishnamacharya, Chennai), Sheshadri (Mysore school of Krishnamacharya), Madhavan (Shivanada school, Tamil Nadu) in India and modern teachers M. Baranov and I. Zhuravlev in Russia.

I am a founder and author of the Shanti Training School of Yoga-Therapy in Ukraine since 2016 and a master educator in Yoga Teacher Trainings in Bali since 2019, a facilitator of meditation and yoga retreats around Indonesia, Europe and Asia, for over 10 years. I teach with the top Yoga institutions in the world including East-West Yoga School, Sama Yoga School, Aylan Yoga School, and The Istana.

Hi everyone! My name is Maria.

My journey into yoga and meditation has started over 9 years ago. My experience and practice brought me to the spiritual approach based on traditional Indian yoga, combined with the scientific one, based on yoga therapy.
For the past 5 years I’ve been following Theravada lineage of Buddhism and I would like to share this knowledge with you.

I am a certified yoga and yoga therapy teacher. Originally from Ukraine, I’ve spent 10 years in Asia, studying local culture and traditions, practicing self-development and self-discovery through various spiritual practices and meditations.

Program

Over the course of 7 days, we'll focus on grounding and self-connection, delve into intensive meditation practice, and conclude with reflection and insight-sharing on integrating our experiences into daily life.

1.

Day 1 - "Opening"

Opening Ceremony
Water Purification Blessing Ritual
Dynamic Meditation + Yoga Nidra

Opening ceremony unfolds as a sacred initiation into tranquility and self-discovery, and is an opportunity to connect and synchronize our energies.

A sacred Water Purification Ceremony will help to calm and cleanse the mind from fears and stresses, opening up your inner resource for spiritual practices. 

2.

Day 2  - "Liberation"

Ecstatic Dance 

Through ecstatic dance we remove blockages and liberate the body, activating deeper resources of energy, moving towards our source of inspiration and joy. 

Authentic Relating

We will use Authentic Relating techniques to connect with each other and open our heart, in a sincere, fun, and profound way.

Gentle and subtle connective practices will help us to understand our nature and come to a state of wholeness and presence in the moment, to open our hearts to each other and the environment, and to feel safe and comfortable with ourselves and the group.

Days 3, 4, 5 - "Vipassana" 

Experience the essence of Vipassana Meditation: simplicity, silence, and inner exploration.

Engage in meditation, savor simple meals, embrace silence, and disconnect from technology to delve deeply within. These time-honored concentration and mindfulness techniques from the Theravada tradition lead to profound self-discovery and wisdom. Heal traumas, transform outdated beliefs, and recalibrate your perception of self and reality.

This three-day journey liberates you from dogma, igniting fresh insights and empowering you to manifest your true desires. Sharpen your mind, cultivate presence, and rediscover the joy in life's simple pleasures. Deepen your understanding of self and enhance your sensitivity to the beauty around you.

Day 6 - “Sound Healing and Buddhist Temple”

Experience the profound serenity of an ancient Buddhist Temple which is located nearby, where sacredness intertwines with the depths of meditation. These hallowed grounds invite you to delve into the essence of Buddhist teachings, fostering inner peace and spiritual reflection. 

Continuing the practice of silence, we will immerse ourselves in the world of sounds and music, healing our body, energy, and mind with the vibrations of instruments.

5.

Day 7 - "Tea Ceremony + Sharing Circle"

Savor the delicate flavors of unique and special tea as we partake in the ancient ritual of tea ceremony.

In a cozy, familial setting, we'll open up and share our most intimate experiences and insights from the retreat. Together we will integrate and close the retreat.
